About The Position

Harborview Medical Center has outstanding opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) positions. CURRENT WORK SCHEDULE OPENINGS Acute Care Float Pool Unit: 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Day shift 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shift Per diem Inpatient Trauma Rehabilitation Unit: 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Day shift Medical/Surgical Unit: 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Day shift Neuro Acute Care Unit: 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shift Psych ICU: 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shift Trauma/Surgical ICU: 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night shift PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating Maintain a safe environment of care Patient transportation Prepare patients for surgery Perform non-invasive lab procedures Transport equipment and supplies Assist with treatments Perform various clerical tasks Take vital signs

Requirements

  • Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
  • High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date

Responsibilities
