This is a full-time position for a CNA/Nursing Assistant in the Ortho/Trauma Med/Surg unit. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. Responsibilities also include measuring and documenting vital signs, patient data, and accurately documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The position requires active participation in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collecting specimens. The role also involves maintaining nursing area stock, cleaning equipment, and performing patient positioning and transporting duties. Additional tasks may include assisting with nutritional needs, maintaining skin integrity, providing special patient supplies, and potentially performing tasks like IV removal, post mortem care, and bladder scans under RN direction. Adherence to infection prevention policies and demonstrating age-appropriate care are essential.
