About The Position

Visiting Angels of Kirkland is hiring CNA Nurse Aides to provide at-home care to clients in the local service area, including West Seattle and surrounding communities. In this role, you will support clients’ wellness and quality of life according to their individual care plans. Shifts are available seven days a week, including morning, mid-day, evening, overnight, and live-in schedules. The position is not remote. Homecare Aide Certification Training is offered, along with opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
Physical endurance to carry groceries and physically support clients.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.
HCA CNA Exemption Letter with active NAR; driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report changes in clients’ health or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Transport clients as needed using a reliable personal vehicle.
