About The Position

Visiting Angels of Kirkland is hiring CNA Nurse Aides to provide in-home care for clients throughout Greater King County, including Sammamish, West Seattle, Des Moines, Normandy Park, and Kirkland. Caregivers support clients’ quality of life and wellness in accordance with individualized care plans. The role includes personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and accompaniment on errands or appointments. Opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are available. The position is not remote and offers shifts seven days a week, including morning, mid-day, evening, overnight, and live-in schedules.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting clients.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.
HCA CNA Exemption Letter with active NAR; driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients while observing applicable dietary constraints.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Provide care in accordance with clients’ custom care plans.
Use a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients as needed.
