About The Position

BayCare Clinic Electrophysiology is looking for a CNA or Medical Assistant to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. This position is PRN with typical hours between Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This position will travel occasionally to outlying facilities. No Holidays! No Weekends!

Requirements

  • Valid certification from an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
  • Certified to perform CNA duties in the state where work is being done.
  • Must be computer literate.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • 6 months – 1-year related experience preferred.
  • EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Nursing staff with various tasks.
  • Rooms patients.
  • Takes vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate.
  • Provides direct patient care.
  • Interacts with patients, family members.
  • Medical Abstracting duties which include extracting data from the patient chart and chart preparation in anticipation of provider office visit.
  • Medical Scribe duties include assisting physicians by recording patient histories, physical examinations, treatment plans, and other relevant details into electronic health records.
  • Maintains records of care given.
  • Calls in medication refills under direction of physician/PA/NP.
  • Conducts patient transfers within the facility.
  • Performs efficient and appropriate room cleaning procedures and ensures rapid room turnover.
  • Transports equipment, instruments, linen and garbage.
  • Follows standard precautions and procedures for decontaminating instruments, equipment, rooms and ancillary items.
  • Assists in sorting, counting, maintaining, packing, wrapping, sterilization and storing of instruments.
  • Performs inventory, restocking and ordering as required.
  • Performs suture removal as directed.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  • Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
