About The Position

The CNA-Med Tech position at Westminster Communities of Florida is a full-time role with a night shift from 11pm-7:30am. This role involves assisting patients and residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulation, and toileting. Key responsibilities include maintaining a high level of hygiene in resident rooms, taking vital signs, reporting changes to the nurse, practicing infection prevention, and accurate documentation. The role also requires making frequent rounds to ensure safety and assisting with resident activities. Candidates must be a certified nurse's aide and CPR certified in Florida, and hold a Med Tech certification. A background screening is required.

Requirements

• Must be certified nurse’s aide in accordance with laws of Florida.
• Must be CPR Certified.
• Must have Med Tech certification.
• Requires background screening through the State of Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

• Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
• Ensure the following tasks are completed on a daily basis: beds are made; trash has been removed from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.
• Taking vital signs and reporting observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State and Facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet timely, accurately and completely.
• Make routine and frequent rounds and ensure those safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning residents that need assistance.
• Assist the Activities Department with Activities for the residents.
