About The Position

This is a full-time position for a CNA/Med Tech in Assisted Living, working the overnight shift. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring resident safety. The position requires adherence to infection control measures and accurate documentation. There is also an expectation to assist with resident activities and to prevent skin breakdown. The job description may evolve as organizational needs change.

Requirements

• Must be certified nurse’s aide in accordance with laws of Florida.
• Must be CPR and Med Tech Certified.
• Requires screening through the State of Florida's Care Provider Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

• Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
• Ensure beds are made, trash is removed from the room, meals are served to residents, and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State and Facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet timely, accurately and completely.
• Make routine and frequent rounds and ensure safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning residents that need assistance.
• Assist the Activities Department with Activities for the residents.
