About The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe, basic care to patients. Duties include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting specimens, and observing patients for physical or emotional changes. The PCT/CNA records pertinent information in patient charts and communicates with other members of the Patient Care Team to support continuity of care. The role may include providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
• Six months of experience supporting the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients.

Responsibilities

• Take patients' vital signs.
