About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Float position in Hoboken is a dynamic role designed to provide essential patient care across nursing departments within a healthcare facility. This role requires adaptability and a comprehensive understanding of nursing assistant duties to support various units as needed, ensuring continuity of care and operational efficiency. Requirements

• Current and valid New Jersey Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient care tasks safely and effectively.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.
• The required skills enable the CNA Float to deliver compassionate and competent patient care by performing essential clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
• Effective communication skills are crucial for coordinating with diverse healthcare teams and providing clear information to patients and their families.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills allow the CNA to transition smoothly between departments, managing different patient needs and environments efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance across different hospital units.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
• Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean and properly maintained.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to support patient needs and care plans.
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and work environments while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
