About The Position

As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will provide appropriate assistance to patients with ADLs and mobility as directed by therapy staff. You will also help to maintain a clean and safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse or LVN in charge. This role is responsible to the Director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.
• 1 year current hospital or nursing home Nurse Aide experience or completion of Nurse Aide Course preferred.
• Current certification through the Texas Nurse Aide Registry.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Background Check, Lab Work, Immunization Records.
• Ability to talk to patient and/or staff – Continually.
• Ability to hear patients and/or alarms – Continually.
• Vision (near and/or far) –Continually.
• Ability to distinguish colors –Continually.
• Bloodborne Exposure (Refer to Bloodborne Exposure Control Plan in Policy Tech for possible exposure tasks) Continually.
• Respirator Fit Testing Required Annually.
