CNA Instructor | Flexible Part-Time (RN/LVN)
About The Position
LearnMore is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to prepare students for successful careers in healthcare as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs). This part-time role offers flexible evening and weekend scheduling and involves teaching theory, laboratory skills, and clinical instruction. The position focuses on mentoring motivated learners from diverse backgrounds, including refugee and immigrant communities, and helping them build a foundation for future healthcare careers. LearnMore is the workforce development division of Nile Sisters Development Initiative (NSDI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding healthcare career opportunities for underserved communities.
Requirements
- RN Applicants: Active California RN license
- RN Applicants: Minimum two years of nursing experience
- RN Applicants: Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
- LVN Applicants: Active California LVN license
- LVN Applicants: Minimum two years of nursing experience
- LVN Applicants: Meets California CDPH instructor qualifications
Nice To Haves
- RN Applicants: Passion for education and mentorship
- LVN Applicants: Experience supervising CNAs preferred
- Teaching experience is welcome but not required

Responsibilities
- Teach theory, laboratory skills, and/or clinical instruction
- Prepare students for the California CNA certification examination
- Mentor and encourage transitional age youth and adult learners from diverse backgrounds
- Evaluate student competency and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain attendance and required documentation
- Foster a positive, professional learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the RN Program Director and instructional team
- Ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements
