This is a full-time position for a CNA/HUC in Behavioral Health, working 12-hour shifts on a 0.9 FTE schedule. The role involves assisting RNs with direct patient care, including daily hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. Accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is essential. The position also includes participating in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring patient safety by keeping call lights within reach and performing purposeful rounding. Responsibilities extend to patient positioning, transporting, nutritional support, skin integrity maintenance, and specimen collection. The role requires coordination of tests and treatments, maintaining knowledge of hospital systems for supply ordering, and processing patient charges. Effective communication, customer service, and the ability to provide age-appropriate care are crucial. The position requires a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days and a Nurse Aide certification.
