About The Position

Oatfield Estates, located in Milwaukie, Oregon, is a locally owned and operated assisted living community that aims to provide residents with excellent care, a high quality of life, and a sense of belonging, influence, and purpose. It is the first assisted living community in Oregon to earn JCAHO accreditation. The facility is designed with a charming layout and beautiful scenery, fostering a hub of activity for its residents. Unlike large corporate facilities, Oatfield Estates focuses on a more personalized approach to senior living.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Oregon-Issued CNA license
Speak, read and write English fluently
Value and respect of elderly/assisted living
Consistent attendance/reliable method of transportation
Ability to correspond and document properly in charts and portal
Excellent oral communication, reading comprehension skills, written communication
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be a U.S. citizen and reside within the State of Oregon.
Reliable means of transportation/commuting to work.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care to residents by supporting their daily activities of living.
Assist residents with ADLS (Activities of Daily Living).
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing/bathroom assistance, morning/evening preparations, and morning/evening dress and attire.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents.
Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior.
Support the overall needs of the residents.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and colleagues.
Teamwork, cooperation, training & development.
