About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring a caregiver to provide compassionate, dependable in-home care in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes while supporting their dignity and quality of life. The role includes building connections with clients, following personalized care plans, and maintaining a clean, safe home environment. An RN Supervisor provides field support, and training and resources are provided. Schedules are flexible, including full-time schedules, with opportunities for career advancement, including potential office roles in scheduling or recruiting.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, caregiving experience, or nursing student status seeking patient care experience.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency's team.
