About The Position

The CNA Float Scheduler is responsible for maintaining schedules in a staffing/scheduling program, generating reports from this program, and preparing staffing information for shifts. This role involves assigning staff with review by a Manager or RN House Coordinator, deploying fiscally responsible staffing, and informing nursing units of assigned staff. The scheduler completes shift report sheets and daily scheduling sheets, facilitates the placement of orients to correct units/areas of need, and assists with staff education. Basic computer skills for data entry and proficiency with electronic patient documentation are required, along with professional phone etiquette. The CNA Float Scheduler may also float to various units based on identified patient care needs and transport patients within the facility as directed. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities is also expected.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills for data entry
  • Proficiency with electronic patient documentation
  • Professional phone Etiquette
  • Current CNA certification in state of practice
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days
  • Passing the IL Health Care Workers Background Check.

  • 1 year of CNA experience preferred
