About The Position

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction. Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being. Requirements

  • Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
  • Current CNA Certification (CT NA)
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment, including computers.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) months of recent hospital experience as a CNA

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates basic patient care skills, including, but not limited to patient hygiene (bathing, grooming, oral and perineal care, back rubs).
  • Measures vital signs, weights, and measures I&O, accurately and within expected time frames.
  • Documents accurately on designated forms or in computer.
  • Ambulates, lifts, moves and transports patients within specified time frames.
  • Positions patients and performs range of motion exercises.
  • Stocks patient care supplies before leaving end of shift.
