About The Position
Senior Helpers of SWVA is hiring caregivers in Marion, Virginia, to provide in-home care for seniors. The role offers the opportunity to build meaningful connections with clients while helping them maintain the best possible quality of life. Caregivers are matched with clients according to their areas of expertise. Applicants may include CNAs, PCAs, new graduate RNs, LPNs, LVNs, HHAs, or experienced caregivers.
Requirements
- Caring and compassionate, with an enjoyment of helping others.
- Strong communication skills with management, clients, and families.
- Willingness to learn new skills to best assist clients.
- Valid driver's license and car insurance, with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a Virginia State Police background check and drug test.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance, or nursing assistance.
- Credentials or experience as a CNA, PCA, new graduate RN, LPN, LVN, or HHA.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional personal care and/or companion care to people in the community who need assistance.
- Assist with assigned activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Offer companionship and emotional support through conversation and recreational activities.
- Perform household tasks, including meal preparation and tidying up.
