About The Position

Kasson-Mantorville High School is seeking to hire a passionate, talented, and dedicated part-time (0.17 FTE) Medical Careers/CNA Course Instructor for the first and second quarter (9/1/26-1/25/27) of the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate would be an innovative team player who believes in the value of building relationships with all students, has strong content-area knowledge, and is committed to personalizing the learning experience for all learners. We are looking for a dynamic individual to collaborate with our already strong CTE staff. The district is located between the cities of Kasson and Mantorville, fifteen minutes from downtown Rochester and approximately one hour south of the Twin Cities. Kasson-Mantorville is a district of approximately 2,050 students, with numerous co-curricular and extracurricular programs and club opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed registered nurse in Minnesota
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience in the United States (can include LPN experience)
  • At least 1 year of licensed nursing experience in the provision of long-term care facility services in the United States
  • A licensed teacher with the Medical Careers License 300300 or willing to obtain one

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course curriculum
  • Build knowledge and develop clinical skills aimed at assisting students to obtain the CNA license
  • Maintain accurate records on all students, including attendance records, schedules, and course requirements
  • Evaluate and document students' progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained
  • Communicate effectively with students and all those affiliated with the course
  • Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and concepts of good patient care
  • Teaches district approved curriculum.
  • Develops and plans instructional activities, lesson plans and/or individual educational plans.
  • Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  • Assesses student performance and behavior and provides documented evidence of such.
  • Is available to administrators, parents, guardians and/or students outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records as directed.
  • Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and board policy.
  • Is responsible to be knowledgeable about all district policies and the master agreement.
