About The Position

Gracewood Senior Living is seeking a CNA/Caregiver for its Highland Park location. Caregivers work as part of a team to provide exceptional care and service to residents, families, visitors, and colleagues. The role supports residents in reaching and maintaining the highest level of performance and independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities. Paid training is provided, and no experience is necessary. This is a part-time AM float position, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., with pay of $18.00–$22.00, depending on qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
No experience necessary; paid training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assist residents in reaching and maintaining the highest level of performance and independence while helping with personal care and daily living activities.
Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed.
Document services performed.
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition.
Assist with personal care, including shampooing, showering or bathing, incontinence management, transfers, and medication administration.
Communicate and interact in a professional, respectful, and kind manner.
Communicate with and assist residents with dementia or related diagnoses.
Perform additional tasks as needed.
