About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a CNA or Behavioral Health Aide for multiple travel/contract positions in Moosic, PA. This role is in a psychiatric specialty, specifically on an inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit. The position involves monitoring, observing, and reporting client activities while supporting the clinical person-centered treatment plan. Responsibilities include assisting with crisis management, de-escalation, and restraints as needed, monitoring and recording patient vitals, completing unit rounds, and providing therapeutic support.

Requirements

6 months of experience working as CNA or BHT with psych/behavioral health experience
Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills
Experience providing therapeutic rapport
Excellent communication and observation skills
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Physical ability to support patient care, including potential restraint use per policy
Commitment to trauma-informed care and patient-centered practices
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required (Can be obtained upon offer)

Nice To Haves

CNA license for PA or BcBA Certification - Highly preferred
HWC Certification -or CPI Certification or Similar - Preferred (Can be obtained during orientation)

Responsibilities

Monitoring, observing and reporting client activities while providing structure and support of the clinical person-centered treatment plan.
Provide assistance with Crisis Management, De-Escalation, and Restraints as needed.
Monitor and record patient vitals, and complete unit rounds as required.
Provide Therapeutic support.
