About The Position

Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for a 26-week, second-shift travel assignment at a Pennsylvania state-operated veterans’ long-term care facility in Pittsburgh. The role supports veterans receiving long-term nursing care and involves working alongside licensed nursing professionals and the healthcare team to provide compassionate, respectful care that supports residents’ safety, comfort, dignity, and daily needs.

The assignment offers gross weekly pay of $1,115, consisting of taxable pay at $11.00 per hour ($440 in taxable weekly wages) and a weekly travel stipend of $675, subject to eligibility. The position has 40 guaranteed hours per week. The scheduled shift is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. The tentative start date is November 5, 2026.

To qualify for the travel compensation package under Heartline Staffing’s policy, the candidate’s permanent tax-home address must be more than 50 miles from the assignment facility. Tax-free stipend eligibility is separately subject to applicable IRS and tax-home requirements; meeting the distance requirement alone does not guarantee eligibility.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Experience providing direct resident care in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or comparable healthcare setting.
• Ability to safely perform CNA duties and follow individualized resident care plans.
• Ability to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals, hydration, mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff.
• Ability to complete required clinical documentation.
• Availability to work the 2nd shift, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.
• Ability to work 40 guaranteed hours per week.
• Ability to commit to the 26-week assignment.
• Ability to complete applicable facility credentialing and onboarding requirements.
• Permanent tax-home address must be more than 50 miles from the Pittsburgh assignment facility to meet Heartline Staffing’s travel-distance policy.
