About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of structural investigation projects across both existing and new construction sites, supporting critical evaluations that ensure safety, performance, and code compliance. You’ll engage in a mix of destructive and non-destructive testing, contributing to both forensic investigations and quality control efforts on high-impact projects. Success in this position requires strong collaboration with managers, teammates, and clients, along with clear and effective communication in both field and lab settings. The ideal professional brings adaptability, technical curiosity, and teamwork to every assignment.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required, associate's degree preferred, No Bachelors required.
  • Driver's License Upon Hire Required
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness of results required.
  • Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam
  • Ability to travel ~10% of the time
  • Able to work under pressure and multitask
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year minimum experience preferred but not required.
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field materials testing on masonry and concrete and other construction materials in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
  • Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Perform laboratory tests on concrete and CMU when required to support project objectives.
  • Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings, and follow operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Perform simple analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of test data.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and other staff to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Clean, calibrate, maintain, and store testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Maintains equipment in good working order and adheres to related calibration and storage
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.
