We're looking for a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team on a high-profile project just outside of Columbus, Ohio. If you have an ICC Soils and/or ICC Reinforced Concrete certification and at least five years of construction materials testing experience, this is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise, contribute to a meaningful project, and work alongside a team dedicated to quality and safety.

Requirements

  • ICC Reinforced Concrete or Soils certification
  • 5 Years experience in construction material testing
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain.
  • Motivated, career-oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industry.
  • Must be willing to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas as required by assignments.
  • Works well independently.
  • Should be safety conscious, a team player, energetic, self-motivated, eager to learn, possess good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Supervisory Staff.
  • Daily work 10 to 12 hours per-day able to work night and weekends when required.
  • Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.
  • Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.
  • Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.
  • Performs field quality control tests of reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete construction.
  • Performs field density testing on soil, asphalt and other construction materials.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary.
  • Follows Atlas� safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs
  • Ability to follow Atlas' QC plan and SOPs.
