We are seeking a passionate CMSS Software Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This role involves supporting a team responsible for the software components of existing and new exercise equipment, including heart rate monitors for future spacecraft missions. The Counter Measures Systems Software Engineer will contribute to maintaining astronaut health in reduced gravity environments like the ISS and Gateway spacecrafts. The position requires strong skills in software application development, adapting software/firmware for robotic devices, and Graphical User Interface development. Experience with developing systems, formulas, or methods for tracking human health during spaceflight is valuable. An interest in human technology development is important. Potential projects include sensorimotor training tools for microgravity, software and firmware development, and modeling/simulation of humans with health countermeasure systems. The role involves generating and maintaining software for human spaceflight scenarios, reviewing software products, performing system integration and testing, and coordinating testing and verification duties. Other duties as required.
