We are seeking a Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) Engineer to join our manufacturing engineering team and play a key role in sustaining and improving wafer fabrication processes in a high‑volume semiconductor environment. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvements in yield, quality, cost, and cycle time through hands-on process ownership, data-driven analysis, and close partnership with manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation in semiconductor processing, preferably CMP, and thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 cleanroom operation where ownership, collaboration, and adaptability are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, with preference for Au Plate (ClassOne Electroplating tools) or CMP experience (AMAT Mirra/Mirra Mesa)
  • Able to work on-site in cleanroom

Responsibilities

  • Developing improvements to manufacturing processes and modifications to production process flows to improve yield, quality, cost, and cycle time
  • Root cause investigation of discrepant material and implementation of quality improvement programs
  • Troubleshooting process shifts and applying SPC fundamentals to identify areas for improvement
  • Optimizing process to lower cost, maximize output, and match performance across tools
  • Qualifying new equipment, new raw materials, and new consumable parts
  • Monitoring process and equipment to improve quality
  • Analyzing cycle time and equipment overall operational efficiency
  • Writing operating procedures and specifications
  • Partnering with manufacturing operations to continuously improve factory performance
