About The Position

We are hiring a skilled CMM Quality Inspector to support our precision aerospace machining operations in Winsted. In this role, you will perform CMM inspections, in-process checks, and final quality verification on tight-tolerance aerospace components using advanced metrology equipment and industry-standard inspection software. Candidates with experience in CMM inspection, GD&T, blueprint reading, and AS9100 aerospace quality standards are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in quality inspection, CMM inspection, or precision machining inspection
Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
Experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Nice To Haves

Aerospace manufacturing or AS9100 experience
CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent)
Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components
Background in CNC machining or machining support

Responsibilities

Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections on precision-machined aerospace components
Operate and/or program CMM equipment using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T callouts
Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height stands, gauges, and comparators
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Identify non-conforming material and support root cause and corrective action activities
Collaborate with machining, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific quality requirements
