About The Position

We're recruiting for an experienced CMM Programmer to join a well-established, employee-owned manufacturer in Oxford, CT. Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience in precision manufacturing.
  • Ability to independently create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs.
  • Proficiency with PC-DMIS, Calypso , or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and GD&T / ASME Y14.5 .
  • Strong understanding of dimensional metrology, inspection planning, datums, and precision measurement.
  • Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, pin gauges, and similar tools.
  • Experience with FAI, MSA, Gage R&R, capability studies, SPC/SQC .
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word , databases, spreadsheets, and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, customer specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, Micro-Vu vision systems, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete AS9102 documentation as required.
  • Develop inspection plans and automated inspection routines for new and existing products.
  • Perform Gage R&R, MSA, and process capability studies and analyze inspection data.
  • Support drawing reviews and assist with inspection fixture and measurement setup development.
  • Perform calibration and verification of automated inspection equipment.
  • Provide metrology support to Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Tooling teams.
  • Train employees on automated inspection equipment and proper measurement techniques.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records in accordance with customer and company requirements.
