About The Position

Join our Columbus Forge team as a CMM Programmer and play a key role in supporting the production of precision aerospace components that power the future of flight. In this role, you will develop and maintain CMM inspection programs that ensure product quality, accuracy, and repeatability while supporting manufacturing excellence across our forging operations. This is a 1st Shift position: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 PM

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year(s) relevant experience in CMM programming, CNC programming, dimensional inspection, quality, or manufacturing support.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in dimensional inspection.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, quality, or engineering teams in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain CMM inspection programs to support production requirements and ensure accurate, repeatable measurement processes.
  • Apply advanced GD&T knowledge to develop inspection routines and verify component requirements meet engineering specifications.
  • Support new product introductions, manufacturing reviews, product transitions, and improvements to manufacturing standard work.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Part Family teams to improve inspection processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical resource for CMM programming, inspection software, and equipment-related requirements while supporting troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Analyze inspection results, identify trends, and support root cause analysis to improve product quality, process capability, and manufacturing performance.
