About The Position

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining CMM programs for production parts, fixtures, and tools. The position requires adherence to quality system policies and procedures to meet ISO and customer requirements related to coordinate measuring systems. The CMM Programmer will also manage programming for Keyence handheld CMM and blue light systems, including creating programs and providing training. Collaboration with engineering for custom fixture development and tool validation is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the programmer will educate and assess employees on inspection instrument usage, maintain safety standards, and complete 6S assignments. The role also involves performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of a strong manufacturing background.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CMM programming experience.
  • Familiar with measurement and test equipment operation and calibration in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and Access.
  • Customer relations and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and work well across various departmental functions within the company.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, procedures and standards and apply them.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Successful completion of an eye exam required.
  • Compliance with general attendance standards is required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain all CMM programs for production parts, fixtures and tools.
  • Maintain quality system policies and procedures to meet ISO and customer requirements related to coordinate measuring systems.
  • Manage programming of the Keyence handheld CMM, create programs and provide training to all required employees.
  • Manage all programs on the blue light and provide training to all required employees.
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop custom fixtures and tool validation strategies.
  • Educate and assess each employee’s ability to use inspection instruments.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety standards and daily/weekly 6S assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
