About The Position

Plansee USA LLC is seeking a CMM Programmer for their Plansee site in Franklin, USA. This role specializes in transforming semi-finished molybdenum and tungsten products into complex components, leveraging decades of precision manufacturing and engineering excellence. The position offers an opportunity to join a highly motivated team where local expertise meets the global knowledge and values of the Plansee Group. This is an hourly position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong competency in operating and programming CMM equipment (Zeiss a plus).
  • Ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings, including a thorough understanding of Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T) as outlined by ANSI Y14.5.
  • Strong competency in fixturing design for CMM.
  • Competency in statistical process control (Mituoyo MEASURLINK a plus).
  • Knowledgeable in the use of the MS Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP.).
  • Strong machine shop math skills, including the calculation of simple trigonometry formulas.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Team player and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little or no supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school education in manufacturing and/or ASQ certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CMM routines encompassing each operation for conformance to print requirements (new, existing, or possible candidates).
  • Provide training on CMM equipment operations and work procedures.
  • Coordinate inspection plans with quality and manufacturing engineering team.
  • Coordinate fixture development and maintain inventory of required and specialty tooling.
  • Incorporate newly developed routines into production use including SPC and process capability analysis.
  • Archiving of segregated data to specific job folders.
  • Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections in conformance to quality assurance standards.
  • Develops quality control inspection documentation.
  • Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction of supervisor in completing a variety of inspection tasks.
  • Maintain CMM equipment and fixturing including calibration per company standards.
