This position performs tasks which involve specified nursing care for patients delegated by and performed under the direction of a Nursing Supervisor. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to meet the demands of an active position. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough health assessments, administer medications, deliver patient care and education, obtain and handle specimens, adhere to infection control guidelines, assist providers, and develop nursing plans. This role also involves establishing therapeutic relationships, providing education to families, documenting patient responses, and ensuring quality management goals are met. The position requires acquiring and maintaining clinical competencies, documenting accurately, and interacting with patients and families in a caring and professional manner, incorporating Child and Family centered care. The role also includes assisting with maintaining a safe and clean environment, recording patient charges, and utilizing hospital resources respectfully and accountably. Stocking supplies and equipment is also part of the responsibilities.
