This is a full-time, day shift position for a CMA/LPN. The role involves delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. Responsibilities include assisting with various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques, administering medications and treatments under provider direction, preparing patient charts, filing dictations, and communicating with patients regarding test results and care plans. The position also requires scheduling procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries, providing pre- and post-surgery information, assisting with patient outreach for overdue visits and referrals, coordinating physician schedules, managing insurance pre-certifications, and scheduling patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care. Maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to organizational standards and ethical guidelines, and educating patients and families are also key aspects of the role. The individual will serve as a patient advocate, handle messages appropriately, assist in training new colleagues, and may cross-cover in other clinic areas. Documentation of patient plans of care, tests, and examination results is required, along with escalating non-routine issues to management. Ensuring safety checklists and quality controls are completed is also part of the job. The role requires maintaining a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and Trinity Health's policies to ensure ethical and professional conduct.
