About The Position

The Iowa Clinic is hiring clinical staff for its Urgent Care team. The clinic is locally owned and led by physicians, with decisions made in Central Iowa. The role provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physicians in accordance with established nursing practice standards and medical office or hospital procedures. Clinical staff assess patient care needs, assist providers with triage and care planning, communicate with patients, and help ensure patients feel valued and cared for. The position follows standard clinic hours and does not involve night shifts.

Requirements

Iowa RN license, CMA license, or LPN license required.
Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
Exceptional patient skills.
Ability to prepare and maintain records.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to assist physicians in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing services to patients of assigned physicians, following established nursing practice standards and medical office or hospital procedures.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ care needs.
Assist providers with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses or problem lists, and formulate an initial plan of care based on assessment data.
Return patient calls and help ensure patients feel valued and cared for.
Prepare and maintain records.
Assist physicians in a professional manner.
