About The Position
At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Urology Department is currently seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice.
Requirements
- Medical certification/license is required.
- CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Working along with providers in a clinic setting.
- Room patients and prepare patients for provider examination.
- Assist providers during in-office medical procedures.
- Prepare and administer vaccines and injections.
- Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
- Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication.
- Patient education on upcoming procedures, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
- Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling tests/procedures, changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills.
