About The Position

Our BGH Clinics offer an array of services in the community including Orthopedics, Women's Health, Ophthamology ,Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Behavioral Health and Urology. This is a hybrid clinical and administrative role supporting the new Urology clinic. The position includes patient rooming, vital signs, UA dip testing, referral coordination, prior authorizations, surgery scheduling, and EHR documentation. The role will also provide front office backup coverage for Ophthalmology during Urology off-weeks. Our CMAs provides safe and competent care for patients of the BGH Clinics. Function in an independent role while providing nursing care at the delegation of the Provider, while working within the CMA Scope of Practice as defined by the Board of Medicine, but not extending such duties beyond what the providers of the clinics have deemed permissible. Bear responsibility and accountability for all actions taken while carrying out nursing activities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Certification and/or License from Accredited Certified Medical Assistant program
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant in good standing
  • 1 to 3 years experience in a clinical setting
