About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced CMA - Family Medicine for a 13-week travel assignment in Newport, NH. This position involves assisting physicians, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The role requires a certified Medical Assistant with at least two years of experience in a clinic setting, preferably with previous travel experience. The assignment is located at the Newport Health Center Rehab Clinic.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years CMA experience in Clinic Setting
  • MUST be a CERTIFIED Medical Assistant (NCCT not accepted)
  • Must have National CMA Certification (NCCT not accepted)
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Must be able to work independently/hit the ground running
  • Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
  • Traveler's perm address must be included in profile
  • Experience in basic office skills is required, data entry skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based PC applications is required.
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Experience in surgical scheduling, procedures, etc. is preferred.
  • Knowledge of community services.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Taking and recording vital signs and patient histories
  • Administering medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
  • Preparing examination rooms and sterilizing instruments
  • Performing basic laboratory tests and handling laboratory specimens
  • Educating and advising patients on prescribed treatments and dietary plans
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing medical records
  • Facilitating communication between the patient and healthcare team
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
  • Managing medical supply inventory and ordering supplies as needed
