Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with active plans to pursue advanced degree in healthcare, such as Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program or medical school Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required
  • In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required
  • No experience is required with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program Required
  • In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
