About The Position

Responsible for assembling, installing, and testing helm components and control systems in accordance with company quality standards, production schedules, and customer specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, hand tools, and assembly processes.
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
Basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year of manufacturing, assembly, marine, or electrical installation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install helm station components according to work instructions, specifications, and production requirements.
Mount and secure gauges, switches, steering components, control panels, electronics, and related hardware.
Route, connect, and secure electrical wiring and harnesses for helm systems.
Install and test accessories such as stereos, speakers, GPS units, fish finders, lighting controls, and other customer-selected options.
Read and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
Verify proper fit, finish, functionality, and appearance of installed components.
Troubleshoot and correct minor assembly, wiring, and installation issues as needed.
Perform operational testing of helm controls, electrical systems, and installed electronics.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Conduct self-inspections to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
