As the Country Club of Spartanburg looks toward its next chapter, we are seeking an experienced hospitality leader to serve as our next Clubhouse Manager. The Clubhouse Manager is one of the Club's most visible and influential leaders, responsible for shaping the hospitality experience that defines daily life at the Country Club of Spartanburg. Reporting directly to the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, this position provides leadership for the Club's hospitality operations, including dining, banquet services, clubhouse presentation, housekeeping, front desk operations, and seasonal food and beverage venues. Working collaboratively with the Executive Chef and fellow department leaders, the Clubhouse Manager ensures every member interaction reflects the Club's standards of excellence. More importantly, this role offers the opportunity to build relationships, develop people, and create a culture where employees are proud to work and members genuinely enjoy spending time at their Club.

Requirements

  • Progressive leadership experience within a private club, luxury hospitality, resort, or upscale food and beverage environment.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for developing people.

Nice To Haves

  • Private club experience is strongly preferred.
  • Active involvement in the Club Management Association of America (CMAA).
  • Completion of the Business Management Institute (BMI) program.
  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field are highly desirable.

  • Shape the daily experiences that define membership at the Country Club of Spartanburg through genuine hospitality, meaningful relationships, and a commitment to excellence, fostering an environment where members feel welcomed, recognized, and cared for during every visit.
  • Build an engaged team by recruiting talented people, developing future leaders, and creating a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed, understanding that investing in people is the most effective way to elevate the member experience and strengthen the Club's culture.
  • Provide leadership for all front-of-house hospitality operations alongside the Executive Chef, ensuring exceptional service complements exceptional cuisine, establishing consistent service standards, mentoring hospitality professionals, and continually seeking opportunities to enhance the dining experience.
  • Lead with sound judgment, balancing operational excellence with financial responsibility through thoughtful planning, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail, ensuring the Club's hospitality operations consistently perform at a high level while supporting the Club's long-term objectives.
  • Serve as a collaborative member of the Club's leadership team, working closely with department heads to create a seamless experience for members, built upon communication, trust, and a shared commitment to excellence across every area of the Club.
