About The Position

As a full-time Club Receptionist/Host, you are the first point of contact for members and guests. You are responsible for managing the arrival experience, answering incoming calls, and handling reservations. This role requires acute organizational skills, a warm disposition, and the ability to foster a positive, hospitable atmosphere from arrival to departure.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a high-volume receptionist or hosting role.
  • Proficiency with OpenTable is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain strict discretion.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, articulate, and capable of multitasking in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Stand and work on your feet for at least 8 hours in a fast-paced environment.
  • Move quickly between different areas of the club, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and Opera is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome members by name and greet new guests warmly to set a positive tone.
  • Answer high-volume phone lines, taking messages and handling general inquiries or deliveries.
  • Manage reservations via OpenTable for the club. Ensure all anticipated covers are accounted for and tables are ready.
  • Assist Food & Beverage managers with service execution and handle guest-list duties across multiple levels.
  • Support, redirect, and resolve guest concerns in real time.
  • Build relationships with members, manage expectations, and forward feedback or issues to the Membership team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe desk and reception area while managing the coat check closet.
  • Train junior reception team members on Soho House process and service standards.
