This role drives membership and sales growth by visiting businesses, building member relationships, motivating the sales team, and educating associates on membership value and merchandise quality. The Club Manager increases the quality of the member experience by ensuring appropriate service levels and effective merchandise presentation, including pricing, signing, inventory levels, and requesting merchandise to meet community needs. They drive the financial performance of the facility by achieving budgeted sales, membership, wages, and expenses, leading the management team in expense control, and creating/implementing plans to improve financial performance. This role also oversees budget creation and analyzes economic trends for forecasting. The Club Manager ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, implementing human resource compliance, asset protection, and safety controls, overseeing reviews, developing action plans, and providing guidance on executing company programs. They initiate, direct, and participate in community outreach programs, encouraging associates to be good community members and establishing relationships with key individuals or groups as a company representative. The Club Manager presents the company's perspective to external organizations, follows media guidelines, and champions company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts. They provide direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques, resolve member complaints, assist members with purchases, answer questions, and provide information. This role provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. They recruit qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential. The Club Manager upholds the company's Open Door Policy by meeting with associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and providing resolutions. They also proactively seek associate comments and concerns by meeting with them in their work areas. The Club Manager oversees and enforces food safety standards, cold chain compliance, and food merchandise quality by evaluating temperature, storage, sanitation, date coding, product rotation, labels, and recalls. They ensure fresh area forecasts for production, on-hand supplies, and current stock align with company expectations and facility budgets.
