About The Position

The Club Lounge Attendant is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience within the hotel's exclusive Club/Concierge Lounge. This position ensures the lounge is clean, organized, fully stocked, and welcoming while maintaining Marriott brand standards for service, hospitality, food presentation, and cleanliness. The Club Lounge Attendant prepares and replenishes food and beverage offerings, monitors inventory levels, maintains sanitation standards, and delivers attentive service to guests throughout the day. The Club Lounge Attendant plays a key role in creating a comfortable and inviting environment for guests by anticipating needs, maintaining lounge operations, and providing professional, friendly assistance at all times. Marriott Club Lounges typically offer breakfast seven days per week and evening hors d'oeuvres and beverages Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous hospitality, food service, hotel, restaurant, lounge, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience handling food and beverage service is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional communication and guest relations abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
  • Basic inventory and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate food service and beverage equipment safely.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and carry supplies.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistance.
  • Ability to safely operate food service equipment and cleaning tools.
  • Morning, evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required.
  • Breakfast service is provided seven days per week.
  • Evening appetizer and beverage service is typically provided Sunday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a warm and inviting atmosphere for all lounge guests.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and questions regarding lounge offerings, hotel services, and local information.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service that enhances the overall guest experience.
  • Monitor lounge seating, comfort, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare, set up, replenish, and maintain all food and beverage stations throughout each shift.
  • Ensure breakfast service is available daily and hot appetizer service is prepared and maintained according to hotel schedules.
  • Prepare and refresh coffee, tea, juice, snacks, and other beverage offerings as needed.
  • Present food and beverage items attractively and according to hotel standards.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and appearance throughout service periods.
  • Communicate replenishment needs and special requests to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional lounge environment at all times.
  • Ensure counters, tables, service stations, displays, appliances, and serving equipment remain clean and presentable.
  • Operate coffee machines, juice dispensers, toasters, microwaves, warming equipment, and other lounge equipment in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Restock condiments, utensils, napkins, cups, plates, glassware, and guest amenities throughout the day.
  • Remove used dishes and maintain cleanliness in guest seating areas.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, securing equipment, and preparing the lounge for the next shift.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of food, beverages, supplies, and lounge amenities.
  • Rotate stock using proper food-handling and inventory management practices.
  • Verify expiration dates and remove outdated products as necessary.
  • Complete daily liquor inventory counts and maintain accurate liquor logs and honor bar records.
  • Report inventory shortages, variances, or discrepancies to management.
  • Ensure liquor coolers, cabinets, storage rooms, and other secured areas remain locked when required.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing lounge supplies and inventory.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, service equipment, countertops, tables, and guest touchpoints.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the lounge, kitchenette, and storage areas.
  • Remove trash and recycling regularly throughout the shift.
  • Maintain Marriott standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance.
