About The Position

Altea is not another big box gym. It's not a boutique studio. It's something the Canadian fitness industry hasn't seen before, and the numbers are starting to prove it. We built this model by studying what the industry kept getting wrong. Clubs that forgot their members. Boutiques that couldn't scale. Operators who treated their people as a cost. Requirements

  • 7+ years of senior operations leadership in a premium fitness, hospitality, or lifestyle environment
  • Experience leading department heads and teams of 100+
  • A genuine track record of developing people — not just managing them
  • Strong financial literacy — P&L, KPIs, and the ability to act on what the numbers say
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually
  • Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement

Nice To Haves

  • University degree in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop Your Leaders — Recruit well, coach consistently, build succession into the culture. Your team should be able to run at a high level whether you're in the building or not.
  • Protect the Experience — Every touchpoint reflects a standard. You protect it without micromanaging it and address gaps before they become patterns.
  • Run the Operation — Safety, compliance, facility presentation, opening and closing protocols. Not someone else's job. Yours.
  • Deliver the Numbers — Revenue, attrition, utilization, labour efficiency. You don't build the budget but you live inside it, hit your targets, and flag problems early.
  • Build the Brand Locally — You are Altea in your market. Reputation is built one interaction at a time and yours matters as much as any campaign.
