About The Position

Support Staff are the backbone of service at The Aster, working side by side with Club Attendants to keep operations seamless across the 5th Floor, Aster Park, and In-Room Dining. This role is fast-paced, team-oriented, and essential to creating a polished guest experience. Responsibilities include resetting and cleaning tables, running food, restocking essentials (flatware, glassware, napkins, ice, and liquor), assisting with dishwashing, and maintaining an organized, presentable environment. Support Staff also ensure guest needs are communicated quickly to the service team. Successful team members bring energy, efficiency, and attention to detail, anticipating the needs of both guests and colleagues. They stay highly visible on the floor, support Club Attendants directly, and help create a welcoming, elevated, and effortless experience for every member and hotel guest. With a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and commitment to excellence, Support Staff set the tone for service and help deliver the seamless and memorable experience The Aster is known for.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Open availability, including weekends and holidays as needed (minimum 32 hours/week for full-time employees)
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and perform in demanding, fast-paced environments
  • Strong teamwork and positive attitude; able to contribute to a collaborative and respectful workplace
  • Basic verbal communication skills
  • RBS and Food Handlers certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual or multilingual ability is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Complete The Aster Service Standards training to learn products, steps of service, and property standards.
  • Prepare tables before service: ensure neat, organized place settings, polished glassware, and proper condiments for each meal period.
  • Support Club Attendants by stocking and maintaining stations with plates, glassware, silverware, linens, beverages, and other essentials.
  • Greet guests promptly, deliver water, and assist across sections as needed.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently between courses and for new guests.
  • Run food and beverages, assist with expediting, and maintain consistency and timeliness of service.
  • Assist with receiving and putting away liquor orders, produce orders, dry goods etc.
  • Assist with covering breaks.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work including restocking, removing dirty linens, emptying trash, and keeping work areas clean.
  • Maintain guest-facing areas—including dining spaces, service stations, and common areas—to ensure they remain polished and welcoming.
  • Anticipate guest and teammate needs, staying highly visible on the floor to support seamless, elevated service.
