About The Position

The Cool Clubs Fitter at Golfdom is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. This philosophy means putting the customer first and ensuring a memorable and positive customer experience. The Club Fitter is responsible for performing golf club fittings and related assignments for a wide range of players, from high handicap customers to tour players. Responsibilities include demonstrating excellent customer service, processing information and merchandise through the computer and POS system, assisting with store maintenance, and suggesting process improvements once fully trained. The role also involves ownership of the club fitting process, including customer service, technology, and sales, fitting customers using the good/better/best process, documenting fitting information, and collaborating with builders on fitting/building challenges. Additionally, the fitter will manage order tracking, provide order updates, and perform basic club repairs such as loft and lie adjustments and re-gripping. Front of house duties include greeting customers, answering phones, booking fittings, managing the fitting calendar, assisting with the pick-up closet, and maintaining store cleanliness. The role requires maintaining a high level of product and industry knowledge, keeping the workspace organized, and adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts
  • Understanding of ideal golf ball launch characteristics
  • General knowledge of club repair
  • Proficient computer skills in the following Microsoft Office
  • POS Experience
  • Experience with TrackMan or similar launch monitor technology
  • Retail sales experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform golf club fittings for a wide range of players.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Process information and merchandise through computer and POS register system.
  • Assist with floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance and merchandise replenishment as needed.
  • Recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ownership of all aspects of the club fitting process (customer service, technology, sales, etc.).
  • Fit all customers using the good/better/best fitting process and make proper club recommendations.
  • Accurately document all fitting information in fitting software.
  • Remain in contact with customers during the build process when necessary.
  • Collaborate with builders on fitting/building challenges.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve them promptly to the customers satisfaction.
  • Fluently understand order tracking system.
  • Enter all orders and pertinent information into order tracking system upon placing an order.
  • Provide order updates to customers as needed.
  • Update system as needed (pick-ups, notes, etc.).
  • Loft and Lie adjustments for customers.
  • Re-gripping clubs for store customers when able.
  • Assist build shop with lite club repair when able.
  • Greet customers who enter the store.
  • Answer phones and manage personal voicemail box.
  • Book Fittings and help manage fitting calendar.
  • Help Customer Service Rep manage pick-up closet.
  • Assist with general cleanliness of the store.
  • Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge by learning about new technologies and products.
  • Keep individual desk clean and organized.
  • Utilize all safety protocols and equipment as set forth by the employee handbook and company policy’s.
