About The Position

Club Custodians help create a clean, safe, and well-maintained club environment while delivering the In-Shape Member Experience. The role involves interacting positively and professionally with staff, members, prospective members, and guests while monitoring cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards. It is an opportunity to begin a career in the fitness industry. The position pays $17.40 per hour. It is part-time and may involve flexible shifts, including overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Basic fitness experience and a passion for fitness.
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
Flexible and positive attitude toward meeting and exceeding member expectations.
Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints while displaying positive behavior in member interactions.
Attend and participate in required meetings and training as needed.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift, including overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
Current CPR certification or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, as stated in the role summary.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe environment by correctly implementing safety policies and procedures.
Use specialized tools to perform deep-cleaning and disinfecting duties.
Follow and adhere to the In-Shape Clean Approach.
Maintain cleanliness records using Job Cards and communication logs.
Assist with the daily upkeep of club amenities.
Support the club community by providing members with a consistent experience.
During the season, where applicable, monitor the pool and slide as needed and enforce slide rules at all times.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
