About The Position

Club Custodians help deliver the signature In-Shape Member Experience by keeping clubs clean, safe, and maintained. They interact positively and professionally with staff, members, prospective members, and guests while monitoring club cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards. The role is described as an opportunity to start a career in the fitness industry.

Responsibilities include implementing safety policies and procedures; using specialized tools for deep cleaning and disinfecting; following the In-Shape Clean Approach; maintaining cleanliness records through Job Cards and communication logs; and assisting with daily upkeep of club amenities. During the season, where applicable, custodians monitor the pool and slide as needed and enforce slide rules. They may also perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Basic fitness experience and a passion for fitness.
• Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, as listed in the requirements.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
• Flexible and positive attitude in meeting and exceeding member expectations.
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints while displaying positive behavior in member interactions.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift, including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Current CPR certification or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• First Aid Training is required only at clubs with Pool Slides.
