About The Position

As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when it’s gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence. As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

5+ years of experience with Linux System Administration activities such as command-line operations, system services, networking and role based permissions
5+ years of experience with large-scale data systems such as traditional data warehouses, ETL pipelines or cloud platforms
3+ years of experience designing data pipeline architectures for security operations, including log collection, normalization, enrichment and routing
Experience deploying platforms across cloud on premises and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or OpenShift
Experience with configuration management or DevOps tooling such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Terraform
Experience with highly structured, controlled, classified or compartmented environments with strict access enforcement
Experience with analyzing logs, comprehending service dependencies and working through system performance anomalies
Knowledge of zero trust principles, DoD and IC cybersecurity frameworks and federal compliance standards
Top Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience with defensive cyber operations, cybersecurity engineering, or security platform architecture
Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines in IL6, or IL7 environments
Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automating system operations tasks
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
DoD 8140 baseline Certification, such as Security+, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CASP+ Certification
