About The Position

GDIT is seeking Cloud Technology professionals to support federal government customers with major cloud transformations. This role involves delivering innovative, reliable, and secure IT support on a contract for a federal government civilian agency. The position offers an opportunity to work remotely with limited travel and focuses on skill development and collaboration within a team environment.

Requirements

1+ years of related experience.
Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security, Cloud Technology, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud.
Experience with Cloud Migration Core Competencies including environment discovery, app dependency mapping, readiness assessments, landing zone setup, identity integration, network foundations, migration execution (rehost, replatform, refactor, containerize), and data/database migration, cutover planning, and modernization support.
Experience with specific AWS services such as Application Migration Service (MGN), DMS, Snowball, Storage Gateway, EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, S3, IAM, Organizations, Control Tower, ECS, EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X‑Ray.
Experience with specific MS Azure services such as Azure Migrate (server, data, app migration), Azure Compute, Scale Sets, App Services, VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway, Data Box, Database Migration Service, Entra ID, Policy, Blueprints, AKS, Functions, Container Apps, ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
Experience with specific Google Cloud services such as GCE, GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud Functions, Deployment Manager/Terraform, Migrate for Compute Engine, Migrate to Containers, GCE, MIGs, Cloud Run, VPC, Interconnect, Cloud VPN, Transfer Appliance, Database Migration Service, IAM, BeyondCorp Zero Trust, Deployment Manager, Terraform.
Experience with specific Oracle Cloud services such as OCI Compute, Networking, IAM, Object Storage, Functions, Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM), Database Migration Service, OCI Compute, Functions, Load Balancers, VCN, DRG, FastConnect, Object Storage, Block Volume replication, OCI Resource Manager (Terraform).
Proficiency in Kubernetes and PowerShell.
Ability to pass a background investigation for Public Trust suitability.

Responsibilities

Support migrations to the cloud or between cloud platforms.
Work in multi-cloud environments.
Design and deploy Cloud infrastructures on Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, and Google platforms.
Build and manage compute, storage, networking, identity, and governance components.
Implement and maintain cloud security, Zero trust, and compliance frameworks.
Collaborate with DevOps and DevSecOps, security, and application teams to align infrastructure with CI/CD and security best practices.
Write PowerShell/CLI scripts, use Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates for infrastructure as code.
Utilize Kubernetes and PowerShell.
Engage in Cloud FinOps activities.
Administer cloud platforms.
Monitor and optimize platforms, establish logging and alerting, and optimize cost, performance, and rightsizing.
Perform environment discovery, app dependency mapping, and readiness assessments.
Set up landing zones, identity integration, and network foundations.
Execute migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, containerize).
Manage data and database migration, cutover planning, and modernization support.
