About The Position

ECS is seeking a Cloud Systems Admin (AWS) to work in their Mechanicsburg, PA office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join a team supporting a large DoD program. The position involves operating and maintaining an AWS GovCloud environment to leverage the benefits of commercial cloud hosting, such as accelerating IT delivery, improving efficiency, and fostering innovation.

Requirements

• Ability to fully install, configure, modify, sustain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Server OS
• Ability to fully install, configure, modify, sustain, and troubleshoot Internet Information Services
• Ability to fully install, configure, modify, sustain, and troubleshoot Windows Server Updates Services
• Ability to fully install, configure, modify, sustain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers
• Ability to fully install, configure, modify, sustain, and troubleshoot Windows Defender
• Ability to fully install, configure, modify, sustain, and troubleshoot PowerShell Automation
• Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) and Security Requirements Guides for the Department of Defense (DOD)
• An understanding of cloud-based technologies
• Experience analyzing logs to be able to determine root causes for problems
• Highly technical and analytical possessing 2+ years of IT platform implementation experience
• 2-5+ years of relevant experience in a progression of roles to include delivering and sustaining technical solutions
• Demonstrated customer focus and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges
• Proven experience in communicating and demonstrating the value of technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders to address complex and competing drivers in complex technical environments
• Secret Clearance required as a minimum
• DOD 8570-01M required Level: IAT Level-2 (Security+ CE)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
• Baseline Computing certification: MCSE, Red Hat Systems Administration, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with cloud provider infrastructure as a service and networking technologies (preferred platforms include Amazon Web Services (GovCloud))
• Desire to learn more about cloud-based technologies
